No additional work outside the approved alteration will be completed without client authorization.
*** Store Note: There is $10 minimum appointment and garment-assessment fee is required when scheduling an everyday alteration appointment. This fee reserves the appointment time and covers the initial professional evaluation of the garment, requested alteration, construction, condition, fit concerns, and project timeline.
If Sewn 2 Dance accepts the alteration, the entire $10 is credited first toward any required deposit and then toward the final alteration balance.
If Sewn 2 Dance declines the request before performing the garment assessment, cancels the appointment, or cannot provide the scheduled assessment, the $10 will be refunded.
If the garment is evaluated but cannot reasonably or safely be altered, the requested result is not recommended, or the customer decides not to proceed after receiving the assessment and estimate, the $10 remains payment for the assessment and is nonrefundable.
The fee is also forfeited for a missed appointment or cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice.
Submitting a request does not guarantee project acceptance, price, or completion date.
Turnaround Time
Standard everyday alterations are generally estimated at 7–14 business days after the garment is received, the fitting is completed, and the work is approved.
Turnaround may vary based on garment construction, materials, current workload, and customer response time. Rush service is available only when scheduling permits and may include additional charges.
Fittings
For the best fit, the wearer should attend the fitting with the shoes, undergarments, shapewear, belts, or other items that will normally be worn with the garment.
Fit concerns caused by missing fitting items, body changes, customer-provided measurements, or alterations requested against professional recommendations may require additional work and charges.
Local Drop-Off and Pickup
Alteration garments may be brought to Sewn 2 Dance by scheduled local appointment or to the designated weekly Siouxland Made pickup location after the request has been reviewed and accepted.
Garments intended for an upcoming weekly pickup should generally be submitted 48 hours prior to the week’s pick-up unless another arrangement ais confirmed.
Every garment must be checked in and identified with the customer’s name and order information. Please do not leave garments unattended.
Payment and Completed Work
The final balance is due before the garment is released. Completed alteration services, approved materials, rush charges, and work already performed are nonrefundable.
Any concern regarding workmanship should be reported promptly and before the garment is worn, washed, performed in, damaged, or altered by another person.
