The Alley Art Festival is reinventing the alleys of Downtown Sioux City on Saturday, September 5 on Labor Day Weekend! Spend the day exploring 20+ brand-new murals, shopping original artwork, enjoying live music, grabbing great food, and making your own art with hands-on activities for all ages. This year’s festival is your chance to experience Sioux City’s ever-growing outdoor art gallery with: BRAND NEW MURALS The alley is home to 140+ murals with more than 20 NEW MURALS joining the collection this year! Murals are created by talented local and regional artists selected through an application process. Their work has transformed an unconventional alleyway into one of Sioux City’s most unique public spaces. ART VENDORS Shop original artwork from talented regional artists and makers along 5th Street and add a one-of-a-kind piece to your collection! FAMILY ACTIVITIES The fun keeps going! Enjoy a variety of FREE creative activities throughout the day, including sidewalk chalk murals, a community mural everyone can help paint, interactive art activities, and more! Projects TBA! LIVE MUSIC BlackCat Zydeco is taking the stage as this year’s headliner! More live music and buskers will be popping up throughout the day as you wander the festival. More acts TBA! FOOD & DRINKS Come hungry! Food Trucks on site include: Diamond Thai, Robles Taqueria, Mama Moon Rayes, and La Palapa Beer, wine, water, and soda will also be available for purchase.
